I am a die hard bleeding heart liberal. I believe the personal is political. I love animals, MLB, reading, journaling,vegetarianism, exercising occasionally, spirituality, sunny California, alone time, GLBT issues, women, politics, spirituality, writing, and on and on (see interests list). I journal about politics, reading, funny, interesting or outrageous stuff I find on the internet, books, personal issues, etc. Note: I recently moved from Southern California to Southaven, MS with the intention of saving money to move back to the LA area. So MS is where I am now, and LJers are my main lifeline right now. So please, add away. :)
oh, and what the heck..I am working through a lot of fun issues. One is that I was diagnosed with major depression, then mis-diagnosed as something really bad, then correctly diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder. I seem to have come through most of that stuff, except for depression, which I think will be with me until I die. Anyway, for like 20 years I was entangled within a very evil and destructive "social services" system, the memories of which I am just now unearthing, on purpose, so I can get the freak on with my life. I'm writing like mad in an attempt to exorcise all these demons. Some of it will end up here on LJ maybe, and some of it won't. I also hope to get up the guts to post some of my other writing on here, but that's another story. Anyway, you may see some weird stuff here. i warn you, some of it's not pretty. But I hope the friends I make here will be ok with that. I avoid friending people who explicitly state they don't want to read rants or drama or depressing stuff. I think that's arrogant and I wouldn't want to associate with those kinds of people anyway.
I have also recently decided to post a lot more about religion, spirituality, vegetarianism, animal rights and other controversial topics because, well...they matter very much to me. I hope you will jump into the conversations and dialogue with me. I have strong opinions, but I want and need to learn at the same time. To do that, I need you to comment, but only when you feel the urge to do so.
